For over two decades, Michael’s children, grandchildren, and friends have asked the same question: “When are you going to make Angels?”

 

They had heard about the “super dreams.” They knew about the brain scans. Some read the screenplay. Others grew up hearing the stories, knowing the characters, and wanting to be part of it. Now, readers from eleven to seventy-two have read the novel and felt the same pull.

 

Michael Hugh Teig writes stories that begin with a simple question: what if what we think is impossible is happening all around us? Angels: Intervention began as a series of vivid “super dreams” so intense he woke and wrote a 45-page treatment in a single day. Two decades later, that spark has evolved into both a feature screenplay and his debut novel.

 

Michael has written and directed award-winning productions, including Silver Telly Awards and the ERA’s National Infomercial of the Year, recognized for their cinematic style and emotional impact.

 

A former scholarship pole-vaulter at BYU, he still thrives on adventure, from surfing and mountain biking to skiing black diamonds, but his greatest joy is family. He and his wife have raised nine children, all hers, one at a time, and are grandparents to thirty-two, including a seven-year-old granddaughter they are raising, who insists on hearing Angels at bedtime and wanted to start over the moment they finished it the first time. Michael also conceived a year-round surf theme park in Utah, completing a 350-page feasibility study and advancing the concept through state-level review, supported by industry-leading firms, university endorsements, and high-level funding interest. Angels was envisioned as a thematic attraction, where the story would be lived, not just told.
